Bergwaldprojekt e.V Tree-Planting-Event

On Saturday November 22, we joined the last Tree-Planting-Event of the Bergwaldprojekt e.V. in 2025.

In Forstenrieder Park 90 volunteer helpers planted 2.770 English oaks, hornbeams and little leaf linden to support forest conversion in Forstenrieder Park.

Woods and forests take a significant part in fighting climate change. They are not only important as CO2-sinks but make a significant contribution to the preservation of biodiversity and protection of our drinking water. Simultaneously our forests are suffering due to the challenges of climate change, such as extreme weathers and pests. To counteract this, active forest conversion is required to enhance the resilience and adaptability of our forest ecosystems.

Such forst conversion is taking place in Forstenrieder Park initiated by Bergwaldporjekt e.V. and Bayerische Staatsforsten.
