Projects

With WaldCursor you streamline your management by tracking and organizing measures and actions within projects

Each project folder forms the gateway to all the information related to the project. Here you will find a list of the associated content, such as:

  • Images
  • CursorTasks
  • Memos
  • Documents/PDF
  • Thematic Maps

You may select, edit, and add to the various elements from this list. You may add entries to the CursorTask and create links to content from your album. This functionality allows users to maintain up-to-date project information and track progress.

CursorTasks allow users to record task assignments and work instructions for employees and partners with GPS precision.

When inviting an employee or partner to your WaldCursor account, you may select the language in which you wish to communicate with them from a choice of five languages. The WaldCursor user interface will then be displayed in the selected language for each user.

Maps

Use digital maps in WaldCursor. Forget about folding maps in your pocket.

Selecting the “Map” menu item directs you to the general map view. This map view displays all entries associated with your account. The application offers the ability to select different maps, ensuring that the most relevant information is displayed in each map view.

The WaldCursor is capable of distinguishing between three map types:

The TWC map and TWC aerial image, which reflect the most recent data from the nationwide aerial surveys, are pre-installed.

You will find maps with the most up-to-date, local information and the TWC marketplace in the section labelled “Additional maps.” The TWC Marketplace offers a map with direct links to relevant institutions, allowing forestry and environmental stakeholders to be easily identified.

You may upload your own Thematic Maps, which will then be available in your account.

The WaldCursor enables users to tailor their work environment by selecting a map as the background for their WaldCursor tasks. Regardless of the map selected, users have access to the full range of WaldCursor capabilities, including:

  • Displaying tasks
  • Adding Memos
  • Creating, viewing, and adding CursorTasks
  • Measuring routes or areas
  • Displaying user status when working in the field

Album

The album serves as the primary repository for all your data.

The album plays a crucial role in the WaldCursor. It replaces traditional office storage solutions, such as shelves with files, folders, photo albums, and map collections. Your album enables the saving of data in all common formats and the linking of these to projects. This is the location where you can store and manage your images, documents/PDFs, and theme maps. Images are displayed as thumbnails, which can be enlarged for a more detailed view.

Should you wish to supplement your data with archive material from your PC, you can easily load content from the device into the album and then link any relevant files to your projects. Furthermore, downloading content from the ForestCursor album to your office PC is a simple process. This enables you to maintain a digital archive of all your measurements.

Additionally, drone data can be uploaded and analyzed on a project basis, with images saved in the album and the drone view displayed on the map. We would be delighted to discuss this service in more detail with you.

You can access the album from any of your projects in order to assign album content to the current project and keep your projects up to date.
